What could be more fitting than starting your first blogging review than to review a book about a blogger? I don’t think it gets any better than that.
For the Love of Friends by Sara Goodman Confino is a laugh out loud, fun, easy read. The central character, Lily Weiss, has agreed to be in five weddings, all scheduled within weeks of each other. Talk about spreading yourself thin! Thats where the fun begins.
Lily has said yes to not only her brother and then her sister’s weddings, but also agreed to be a bridesmaid in three other weddings. Between her full time job as PR director for a Scientific Foundation, dress fittings, bridal shower planning and bachelorette party planning who has much time for anything else. There‘s also the financial obligation for each wedding that Lily has to figure out. Oh, and let’s not forget the brides, bridesmaids and families to contend with. What would you do if you were facing all of this? If your Lily, you blog about it!
This is a wonderful story full of laugh out loud situations, family, friends, redemption and love. If your looking for a 5 🌟 read, that will have you laughing and crying, this is the book for you. Lily is a realistic character which we can all identify with, the good and the bad.
Thank you to NetGalley, Lake Union Publishing, and Sara Goodman Confino for the opportunity to read this book. All the opinions expressed are my own and were in no way influenced by the aforementioned people.
