Life’s a Beach with Lots of Books

I know, I know, there are a gazillion blogs about books, but I’m hoping this is more.

Not only will I share my book reviews here and books that are in my library, but I will also share things that are happening or have happened in my life, because sometimes life is stranger and funnier than fiction. I also would like to share causes I care deeply about.

First let me introduce myself, my name is Vicki, not Victoria, or Vickie, or Vicky, just Vicki with an i. I’m the mother of five and I also have three stepchildren, although I consider them my children also. My husband and I have 13 grandchildren currently with a definite possibility of more. My husband and I have one son and one grandchild on the Spectrum (Autism), definitely a cause that I’m very passionate about. We have two dogs, Jaxon (a bichpoo) and Riley (a shichonpoo). They are our two white fluffballs and are extremely spoiled. From time to time, I will be sharing pictures of them since they are the ones that truly run our household.

Over the past year, I have dealt with some pretty serious health issues including cancer, but that’s a blog post for another day. I believe I’m finally at the point that I want to read and write on a daily basis, plus share the things I enjoy such as, beaches, books, causes, family, people in general (a lot of interesting people in the Villages), coffee and tea.

I hope you enjoy my blog and will continue to come back time and again to see what I’m reading, where I’ve been or just in general see what’s going on!
